COVERAGE presented at ESA LPS in May 2022 to further publicize the work being done, and they have actively been engaging with CEOS COAST, where there is additional potential for applicability of COVERAGE assets. COVERAGE submitted an “Ocean Shot” concept to the UN Decade US National Committee emphasizing the need for more integrated ocean data access in support of open science and marine applications for societal benefit; this "Ocean Shot" was published, along with others, in the 'Cross-Cutting Themes for U.S. Contributions to the UN Ocean Decade' report in the summer of 2022 (https://nap.nationalacademies.org/catalog/26363/cross-cutting-themes-for-us-contributions-to-the-un-ocean-decade). It is still unclear what avenue could be pursued and the potential applicability that could exist of the L4 MRVA-CHLA product at high resolution that COVERAGE could develop. Discussions on this topic are ongoing.

Conversations were held with COVERAGE leads in May 2021; possibilities to integrate COVERAGE in the UN Decade of the Ocean for Sustainable Development activities continue to be explored, as well as expanding COVERAGE use to serve other communities.
