Conduct an intercomparison exercise to assess global reference grids and improve the standards and interoperability for grids. Tasks include: Clarify 'grid' concepts and terminology, develop a comprehensive taxonomy of global grids, develop specifications and metrics for grid categorisation, establish a database of major global grid systems and apply the proposed taxonomy, Identify use cases, perform systematic intercomparison and benchmarking.
