Ongoing activity. Due date should reflect ongoing nature.

The Combined CEOS-ARD for Synthetic Aperture Radar PFS, which incorporates the new Geocoded Single-Look Complex (GSLC) spec, was endorsed at LSI-VC-14 in October 2023.

Development of the Lidar Terrain & Canopy Height PFS continues and a first draft is planned for Q1 2024.

Work continues on the possible expansion of the Aquatic Reflectance PFS to cover oceans more broadly. In early 2024 we expect presentation of recommendations to the CEOS-ARD Oversight Group to update the AR PFS to include oceanic waters.

Ongoing task.

Expansion of the Aquatic Reflectance (coastal and inland waters) PFS to cover the oceans is ongoing. Expected first draft by Q4 2024 or Q1 2025. Working with OCR-VC and others.

Interferometric Radar (INSAR) PFS inclusion in the combined SAR PFS now targeted for Q2 2025 (at LSI-VC-17).

Team still being assembled for LiDAR Terrain and Canopy Top Height PFS.

Work ongoing around modularisation of CEOS-ARD Specs into ‘Building blocks’ to consolidate requirements and work towards increased commonality and consistency in PFS. This will also ease PFS development. Looking at making PFS native to GitHub for version control, change tracking, increased engagement.

As noted in the CEOS GHG Roadmap Issue 2:

"The GHG TT will work with the CEOS-ARD Oversight Group to define PFS for GHG flux products."
