Based on WGClimate ECV inventory (version 4.0) a gap analysis will be carried out on existing and future/projected climate data records related to Carbon Cycle ECVs. Aim is to inform agencies about the status and potential gaps and - finally - mitigation measures to advance their satellite observations.
Workshop had been carried out in May 2022. Reporting will be carried in conjunction with the CEOS response to the GCOS Implementation Plan 2022 (Doc # GCOS-No 244, GCOS-No 245). Emphasis has been taken to GHG and land surface ECVs. Ocean ECVs had been partially dicussed, but shall be focus to an additional workshop in 2024
