The RO Demonstrator responds to a need articulated by WB/GFDRR;UNDP;and UE. Focus is on the early recovery phase;tied to GRADE assessments;Post Disaster Needs Assessments (PDNAs);and the establishment of Disaster Recovery Frameworks (DRF). Relevance to recovery planning ;and further on;to sustainability and resilience development. Satellite imagery will be integrated into recovery assessment tools managed by the Tripartite Agreement partners;who select events in collaboration with the CEOS RO Demonstrator team. Consider one national area of mature satellite use capacity and agencies;one with moderate use and one of limited and development need. Consider examples in main disaster-prone areas (Africa;LAC;Asia) and examples of limited multihazard and socio-economic complexity to be able to establish success metrics and targets consistent with Sendai and related reporting if possible.
