Each CEOS agency will continue to develop its data and computational infrastructures consistent with its capacity and user service mandates. CEOS has a role in identifying tools to support complementarity and interoperability across CEOS agencies in support of the FDA strategy objectives. WGISS will finalize the ongoing work of inventorying the software and tools available or used at CEOS agencies for EO data exploitation and use (e.g. EO data visualization, analysis, processing, readers/writers, etc.), and implement a mechanism for discovery and access. Focus will be on Open Source but remaining as broad and inclusive as possible.
Inventory template defined and circulated to WGISS members to collect information for filling-up. Discussions ongoing with SEO to define best approach for implementation of inventory search tool.
Several versions circulated to all CEOS WGISS agencies and input received. Final inventory table produced and circulated to WGISS all. Firts part of the action is achieved. Table will be maintained up to date.
Work ongoing with SEO team to implement web page on the WGISS web site for search and discovery of SW and Tools by end users.
