Description:

ESA with support from DLR's SAREDU project by FSU Jena and CSA will provide a second run of an improved ECHOES IN SPACE SAR MOOC.  This MOOC, which is intended as an introduction to SAR imaging, will be extended by additional application examples.

December 2018: Echoes in Space: Q1 2019 – Q1 2020, SAR for ICE Monitoring Q4 2019 – Q1 2020. August 2018: Due to several months of sick leave of project manager the task is delayed. Still preparation are ongoing and the 2nd improved ECHOES IN SPACE  run  is envisaged for Q1 2019

The "Echoes in Space: Introduction to Radar Remote Sensing" MOOC went live on Sept 16, 2019. The MOOC introduces participants to the world of Radar Remote Sensing, builds a foundation of knowledge to understand where this technology is coming from, how the images are acquired and which manifold applications already use Radar Remote Sensing to help protect our planet. To date, the MOOC has had over 1,000 individuals complete the course and receive a certificate. For more information, visit: https://eo-college.org/courses/echoes-in-space/
