Provide a multi-lingual MOOC (German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese tbc) on radar backscatter for advanced practitioners/experts through the EO-College portal.
December 2018: Radar backscatter MOOC will be open for the public in Q1 2019. August 2018: Due to several months of sick leave of project manager the task is delayed. Still the run of the multi-lingual SAR-MOOC is envisaged for Q1 2019
April 2020: The first MOOC is in development with finishing touches underway for English version. Will be translated into French and Spanish before available online. Final step is to translate into German. Should be online by late April 2020 for all four languages.
As of June 2020, three of four languages completed with the French version nearly finished. The couse information will be published around July 1, 2020.
As of September 2020, the MOOC is liikely to come out in late September/early October 2020. Staffing challenges due to illness occurred and translating the content into all languages took extra time. Need to change the due date to Q4 2020.
