Develop and demonstrate several data cube analysis tools to support GEOGLAM, including crop mask overlays and NDVI phenology plots that will use moderate resolution data. GEOGLAM will explore utility in the context of its GEOGLAM Crop Monitor activities.
The SEO has developed an open source vegetation phenology algorithm that is being tested by several agriculture agencies in Africa within the Africa Regional Data Cube (ARDC) initiative. This has resulted in several reports and draft papers to summarize outputs and decision impacts. The algorithm has also been shared with Mike Humber (Univ of Maryland) for investigation and comparison with the GEOGLAM Crop Monitor.
