• Initial set of use cases for COVERAGE system captured based on consultations MBON and SSC
• Review of technical interfaces to IMOS and CMEMS systems and available data resources of relevance to COVERAGE initiated

• Review and development of inventory of key satellite datasets for inclusion in process, based on VC expert feedback
• Implementation of documention template for capturing and cross-referencing of use cases, requirements, applications and datasets for COVERAGE

• 2 pilot application concepts relevant to GEO-MBON and Blueplanet and SDG14 have been developed and discussed with the COVERAGE advisory board.  These relate to marine biodiversity and high seas tuna species distribution dynamics and habitat structure in relation to environmental factors.  Specific in-situ datasets and satellite necessary to support these applications have been identified, and technical interfaces to the data are being characterized.
• Inventory of supporting baseline satellite datasets from interagency sources across the ocean VC parameters for inclusion in COVERAGE was completed and vetted by advisory board and VC representative.  Integrated search and access interfaces to these products have been exercised.
