(Update for April SIT-33)JAXA conducted a second series of DPR new scan profile tests on February 19-22.(Update for July SIT Chair Telecon)COMPLETE - JAXA implemented the new DPR scan profile on May 21. This change extends coverage of the current 125 km Ka-band swath to 245 km, matching that of the Ku-band radar and enhancing the utility of the Ka-band data. Public release of the expanded swath Ka-band data will occur following validation.
(September 2019): The availability of JPSS-1/NOAA-20 MIRS precipitation products are now operational.
