CEOS Member Agencies with interests in and/or mandates for developing and deploying new types of satellite missions to provide 1) new information on phytoplankton functional types, phytoplankton carbon by type, detritus, particulate carbon, and aerosols, and/or 2) higher spatial, temporal, and spectral resolution data for coastal and inland waters will coordinate their efforts in consultation with relevant CEOS WGs and VCs.
More desirement than requirement since this action requires additional resources from agencies but could be foreseen within appropriate agency actions/missions for aerosols (e.g. S-3, EarthCare, VIIRS-n, MTG-Sn, ACE) and Ocean Color measurements (S-3, GOCI, GCOM-3,..).
